Actor Dara Singh passes away
Veteran actor and wrestler Dara Singh passed away in Mumbai on Thursday. The 83-year-old actor was admitted to a Mumbai's Kokilaben Hospital on July 7 following a cardiac arrest.
World champion wrestler Dara Singh, who joined the film industry in 1960s, was last seen in 2007 movie 'Jab We Met' alongside Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor.Dara Singh, who won the title of Rustam-e-Hind for his wrestling prowess, entered the film world in the 1960s. He appeared in various films like "Watan Se Door", "Daada", "Rustom-E-Baghdad", "Sher Dil", "Sikandar E Azam", "Raaka", "Mera Naam Joker" , " Mard " and "Dharam Karam" Dara Singh, who was a Rajya Sabha member from August 2003 to 2009, was best remembered for his iconic role as 'Hanuman' in the epic TV serial 'Ramayan` Apart from acting, Dara Singh also tried his hand at direction Recent tweet by Amit sir : @SrBachchan: Dara Singh ji passed away this morning.
